About Me
- Joan Grayson
- I am a Registered Nurse by profession and I work on a busy Geriatric Psychiatry unit at a teaching hospital in Connecticut. I am also a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Haitian Committee at my church. One day I would like to go on one of our medical missionary trips there. Art is my passions. I have had no formal training in it and prior to October, 2001, I didn't know how to mix paint, let alone draw. At that point I was blessed with the gift of creativity and I have been painting ever since. Animals, especially cats, are my frequent subjects. But I also love to paint Jesus, the saints and Mary. I have been inspired by the great masters including ElGreco, Rembrandt, Botticelli, Degas, Van Gogh and others. What a joy it is to paint from their masterpieces. On this blog I am sharing my Catholic Sacred Art with you.
